Dotsys Launches New Recruitment Manager

Following the successful launch of the Dotsys cloud-based HR system in May 2017, the system has been further enhanced with the addition of a recruitment module. This new feature allows customers to automated and efficiently manage the recruitment procedure from posting jobs onto various media, managing the interview process and ultimately recruiting staff.


The new module is fully integrated into the Dotsys HR system so all new staff are automatically transferred onto the HR system once recruited.


Margaret Kirk, HR Officer at MCL stated “As a growing business we are constantly recruiting across all of our companies that in the past could be difficult to manage. With our new recruitment manager, we can see the number of positions we have advertised and what stage of the recruitment process they are currently at. The system enables us to manage the recruitment process across all our companies and if also future proofed as it will also cover different countries.”

Dotsys Launches New HR System

Today Dotsys goes live with its new HR system for MCL Insurance Services. With a growing number of employees MCL required a new system that would enable it to manage its HR function more efficiently. The cloud-based solution has enabled MCL to do away with manual files and recording as the system has the ability to automate many of the HR processes. Functions of the system include:

  • 1. Its records when staff are in the office, taking into consideration holidays, sickness and appointments and can automatically calculate hours worked
  • 2. Staff can book holidays online without the need to refer to managers
  • 3. Applications form, interview notes and historical employee are all saved online within the employees file
  • 4. Includes a “Realtime” viewer of the current employee status with regards to attendance
  • 5. Complete reporting tool to analyse sickness trends, attendance, staff turnover etc

Margaret Kirk, HR Officer at MCL stated “As the business continues to grow, we had to review all of our HR systems and we looked at a number of third party systems but decided to go it alone and design our own that we contracted Dotsys to build. The system which came in on budget and time has the potential to transform how to manage staff.“

Dotsys Ltd Launches Online Chat Module

MCL Insurance Services Ltd in conjunction with dotSys Ltd have launched a new online chat module that integrates into its e-volve back office platform. Gary McClarty, Managing Director of MCL Insurance Services stated “as an online broker we are always looking for ways to improve our customers experience and our preferred method of contact is through online chat as this is the most efficient use of our call centre staffs time.


We initially experimented with a third party plug in but as it was not integrated we asked our software supplier, dotsys Ltd to build a bespoke solution. With our new software, when a customer enters a policy number the customers record will automatically pop at the call centre end avoiding the need to re-key details.


In addition to this, all conversations are stored within the customers record, making it easy for another operator to continue the conversation.” Mr McClarty continued “another great feature of the software is that if a customer cannot be helped through online chat and requires a call, from the online chat programme the user just has to hit a button and the details will be automatically transferred to the outbound call centre team and again this whole workflow is logged through the system.”

DotSys Launches New Mobile Software

Today sees the launch of DotSys new texting software. The product allows staff to have a two-way conversation with clients using text messaging from the DotSys back office. In addition all conversations are saved into the customer’s record. Dr Jim Steele head of programming stated “This is a great addition to our platform. Customers are using more ways of communicating these days from phone, email, online chat and texting and it is important that our system caters for whatever method a customer uses” Jim continued “A major benefit of the system is that all conversations are saved into the customers account and now that we are having 2-way conversations we have a number of exciting developments in the near future.”

DotSys Develops Midas Home Product

Today sees the launch of a new Midas Home Product on the DotSys platform. The product will initially be distributed by MCL Insurance Services Ltd into the Republic of Ireland market. The product is full cycle product incorporating point of sale documents, MTAs and Auto renewals. Customers also have access to a portal to administer changes to the policy at a time that suits them. The product is also fully integrated into the e-volve backoffice system so payment and diary entries are all created without any operator input.”

MCL Insurance Launches New Telematics Brand On DotSys

MCL Insurance Services Ltd have launched their new Telematics brand Boxymo.ie and Boxymo.co.uk on the DotSys e-volve platform. Alex Todd, Brand Manager at MCL commented. “The success of our business to date running a multi brand strategy has been built on the foundation of the DotSys platform. DotSys Links To ClaimObtain

DotSys has linked up with Contac Claims to provide an enhanced claims system to the DotSys e-volve platform. The new claims system takes the current claims module within e-volve and incorporates them into the Claimobtain system. The new system would allow any future user of the DotSys platform to control the complete claims service from taking first notification to settling claims. As the new system is fully integrated into e-volve the degree and detail of reporting can be greatly enhanced.

DotSys Launches Easyinsure.Ie In Conjunction With MCL Insurance Services

MCL Insurance Services have been trading as 25plus.ie and Its4women.ie in the ROI market from 2008. The easyinsure brand has only been available in Northern Ireland up until today when it is launched in ROI. The product is different from the other DotSys quote engines in that it starts as a more basic product that the customer can enhance by adding breakdown and windscreen cover. It also gives the customer more control over the level cover and excesses payable on the policy. Alex Todd, Brand Manager at MCL stated “So far we have offered niche products by targeting the over 25s and female drivers. This new product is a broader policy that targets customers that may just want basic cover” Alex continued “ We now run 3 brands in over 2 jurisdictions and the DotSys platform enables us to manage this efficiently and easily. DotSys Launches New Home Insurance Product With Prestige Underwriting Services Ltd

As a further enhancement to the product range, DotSys is pleased to announce the launch of a new household product from Prestige Underwriting Services Ltd. The product follows the design and payout of the motor and travel product by being easy to navigate and enhanced for internet use. The product is also integrated into the e-volve platform so it includes full payment processing and diary system integration. The product demonstrates the flexibility of the platform with new front end products easily plugged into all of the modular aspects of the DotSys e-volve platform. The product also incorporates EDI to send information to the insurer.

DotSys Incorporates Experian Codes

In today’s competitive insurance market you have always got to look for a competitive advantage. DotSys have teamed up with Experian to enhance our motor product by incorporating detailed postcode analysis. With reference to Northern Ireland, DotSys now rates on 48,000 postcodes and breaks these down into 50 catergories based on criteria from Experian. The level of detail this provides allows insurers to price more accurately for each risk.

DotSys in conjunction with AIG Ireland and MCL Insurance have developed a new Travel Insurance Quotation engine that fully integrates into the DotSys e-volve backoffice. The product offers short, long stay and annual travel policies. DotSys Incorporates Risk Intelligence Software

Following on from enhancements to the DotSys quotation engine in May and the resultant performance improvement, today we have made further enhancements by including vehicle registration software from Dublin Company Risk Intelligence. This should make it easier for customers to find the correct vehicle, reduce any errors and improve quotation accuracy.

This month saw the 200,000 policy administered through the DotSys platform since its inception. In that time 98% of all quotations are now processed online and new business conversions have increased from 65% to 87%. Many “in house” schemes for insurers will not always provide the best quotation or certain sectors will be declined. With this new module for any business that is declined DotSys has developed a “reverse” price comparison site in that details are automatically sent to the QuoteMe in ROI market and Quotezone in Northern Ireland. The insurer can then easily “trunk to truck” transfer the quote to another insurer. So no more lost leads.

Today sees DotSys link to a second price comparison site, GoCompare. After a successful roll out with Quotezone and CompareNI this is another great enhancement to the Dotsys System. DotSys Launches New Discount Module

If the dynamic pricing module is not available for some schemes, DotSys has developed a discount module for those brokers that may wish to flex commission to obtain business. The module rather than a blunt top line discount allows customers to be more specific by selecting certain criteria to build a discount profile. It can also target certain premiums, for example only discount premiums over a certain amount and also cap the amount of discount this is being given.

DotSys Links To Adaptive Dialler

For customers that use call centres to outbound perspective clients DotSys has launched a new update to the e-volve direct product that incorporates a dialler to the customer’s record. When a call is presented to the operator, it pulls the quote screen along with quote details as the phone is dialling, wasting no time in looking for the customers details. It also includes complete notes and details of any previous calls. As per all enhancements this improves the overall work flow, reduces errors, speeds up processes and reduces cost.

DotSys System Includes New Timekeeper Module

Do you know how long your staff spend at their computers and how efficient they are?. With DotSys new timekeeper staffs have to log in each morning and log off when not at their desktop. The system provides how long they have been at their desk, reasons for breaks and can be used in conjunction with software from the telephone system to monitor the productiveness of staff members. As a process of continual development, DotSys has continued to develop the diary system launched in May 2009. Today sees the incorporation of a DotSys developed document imaging system. With the completion of the e-volve backoffice, DotSys development has moved to updating and improving the customer experience. Today see the launch of the new customer portal, where customers can login and self service their policies. The functionality includes MTAs, Viewing and Printing documents, Renewals and Viewing claims. The portal can also be locked so problem customers do not have access to make adjustments or amend their policies.

DotSys Launches New Transaction System

DotSys innovative provider of insurance software today launches a fully integrated transaction system into the e-volve back office platform. The system now automates the payment processing from point of sale through to backoffice processing and accounts reconciliation. Once a payment is processed on the Quotation screens, entries are automatically created on the customers account and payment received. At the same time entries are made into the insurer’s account providing auto reconciliation. Again like all DotSys products this process works without human intervention in the process. The product also includes full audit trails of payments.

Today sees the launch of the easyinsure.co.uk, the fourth motor product added to the DotSys platform since February. The product designed and developed by MCL and underwritten by Zenith Insurance PLC is a new addition to MCLs portfolio. Alex Todd Brand Manager at MCL commented “This is another great day for MCL. Our Its4women.co.uk product has been a success since its launch and our new easyinsure.co.uk brand widens our footprint into new markets as we develop our internet presence” The overall system has help us develop into new markets by keeping our operational costs as low as possible. Today 80% of customers quote online and 65% purchase online. We are continuing to DotSys to improve these figures as we are determined to be Ireland leading online brand. Presently the system provides Quote and Buy and backoffice policy administration such as MTAs and cancellation. Another great saving comes from electronic posting of client’s documentation”.

DotSys Links To ClaimObtain

DotSys has linked up with Contac Claims to provide an enhanced claims system to the DotSys e-volve platform. The new claims system takes the current claims module within e-volve and incorporates them into the Claimobtain system. The new system would allow any future user of the DotSys platform to control the complete claims service from taking first notification to settling claims. As the new system is fully integrated into e-volve the degree and detail of reporting can be greatly enhanced.

DotSys Launches Easyinsure.Ie In Conjunction With MCL Insurance Services

MCL Insurance Services have been trading as 25plus.ie and Its4women.ie in the ROI market from 2008. The easyinsure brand has only been available in Northern Ireland up until today when it is launched in ROI. The product is different from the other DotSys quote engines in that it starts as a more basic product that the customer can enhance by adding breakdown and windscreen cover. It also gives the customer more control over the level cover and excesses payable on the policy. In today’s competitive insurance market you have always got to look for a competitive advantage. DotSys have teamed up with Experian to enhance our motor product by incorporating detailed postcode analysis. With reference to Northern Ireland, DotSys now rates on 48,000 postcodes and breaks these down into 50 catergories based on criteria from Experian. The level of detail this provides allows insurers to price more accurately for each risk.

DotSys Incorporates Risk Intelligence Software

Following on from enhancements to the DotSys quotation engine in May and the resultant performance improvement, today we have made further enhancements by including vehicle registration software from Dublin Company Risk Intelligence. This should make it easier for customers to find the correct vehicle, reduce any errors and improve quotation accuracy.

In that time 98% of all quotations are now processed online and new business conversions have increased from 65% to 87%. DotSys Launches New Discount Module

If the dynamic pricing module is not available for some schemes, DotSys has developed a discount module for those brokers that may wish to flex commission to obtain business. The module rather than a blunt top line discount allows customers to be more specific by selecting certain criteria to build a discount profile. It can also target certain premiums, for example only discount premiums over a certain amount and also cap the amount of discount this is being given.

DotSys Links To Adaptive Dialler

For customers that use call centres to outbound perspective clients DotSys has launched a new update to the e-volve direct product that incorporates a dialler to the customer’s record. When a call is presented to the operator, it pulls the quote screen along with quote details as the phone is dialling, wasting no time in looking for the customers details. DotSys System Includes New Timekeeper Module

Do you know how long your staff spend at their computers and how efficient they are?. With DotSys new timekeeper staffs have to log in each morning and log off when not at their desktop. With the completion of the e-volve backoffice, DotSys development has moved to updating and improving the customer experience. Today see the launch of the new customer portal, where customers can login and self service their policies. DotSys Launches New Transaction System

DotSys innovative provider of insurance software today launches a fully integrated transaction system into the e-volve back office platform. The system now automates the payment processing from point of sale through to backoffice processing and accounts reconciliation. Once a payment is processed on the Quotation screens, entries are automatically created on the customers account and payment received. At the same time entries are made into the insurer’s account providing auto reconciliation. Again like all DotSys products this process works without human intervention in the process.
